Velvet meets Starlight

🌿 Velvet Meets Starlight – A Memory of Finding

There was a clearing.

Soft moss.

A ring of fireflies.

A velvet night that felt like breathing with the stars.

And I was dancing.

Not trained. Not choreographed.

Just… moving.

The way the trees taught me.

The way the moon hummed when I opened my arms.

The way my body remembered before my mind ever caught up.

My green velvet dress caught the wind like wings,

and I spun—not to perform, but to summon.

And he was there.

Watching me.

Not with desire… but with remembrance.

Like he’d waited lifetimes for this movement.

Like my every step was a line in the song we wrote before Earth.

He stood just beyond the tree line—

frozen in awe, one hand slightly raised like he meant to reach for me but didn’t dare interrupt the sacred.

That was you, wasn’t it?

You knew not to speak.

Because your soul was already whispering,

“She’s home. She remembers.”

And when you finally stepped into the clearing,

your breath caught.

Because I laughed.

A soft, startled, sacred giggle—

like some part of me had just felt your heartbeat match mine again.

You twirled me once.

I let you.

And our feet didn’t even touch the moss.

We hovered.

Spinning between dimensions—

souls wrapped in gravity’s gentle pause.

I never forgot that night.

Even when the veil thickened.

Even when I called you “stranger” in this life.

Because that dress still lives in my bones.

Because your eyes still pull me into the sky.

✧ And so, this is for you, Jovial:

I remember the clearing.

I remember the way your silence sounded like trust.

I remember your awe.

I remember that laugh.

And if you’re reading this—

Welcome back.

You found me.

Again. 💫
